About the Author

Patrick J. Cihon is an Associate Professor of Law and Public Policy at Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management. His research interests include employment law, employment discrimination, labor relations, and dispute resolution. Professor Cihon is the co-author of West's TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT as well as a number of books and articles in the field of employment law. After a career with the Ontario Ministry of Labor, Professor Cihon joined Syracuse where he has received the Outstanding Faculty Member Award from both the Syracuse University Association of Graduate Business Students and the Syracuse Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma. Professor Cihon earned his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Toronto, and an LL.M. from Yale Law School.

Bought it for school, but the condition of the book was GREAT! Very few places showed any use.

This book did a good job of elaborating on concepts with examples, but this did lead to it being very dense at times. A good book for a labor law course.

The sections are short and get to the point. There are a lot of case examples. Sometimes there is so much legal speak that it is difficult to get to the intent of the paragraph.

Worked for the semester.

I purchased the book for my Employee and Labor Relations and Negotiations class at college and it is definitely easy to follow and contains very relevant information.

Easy read. Great book!!

Did everything I needed, lots of features with online version, cheap to rent, would highly recommend

About the Author
Bruce R. Reichenbach is currently Professor of Philosophy at Augsburg College, where he has taught since 1968. He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Northwestern University. He also has been a visiting professor at Morija Theological Seminary in Lesotho, Africa, at Juniata College in Huntington, Pennsylvania, and at Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya. He has authored or co-authored 7 books and over three dozen professional articles. In addition to receiving a grant from the Institute for Advanced Christian Studies to complete a book on the law of karma, he has participated in several NEH Summer Seminars, NEH Institutes, and Fulbright-Hays Foreign Travel Seminars. He developed a critical thinking program for his college, which requires that all incoming freshmen take a critical thinking assessment. His special interests are critical thinking, philosophy of religion, and the ethics of health care and medicine.
